Simon Morse is influenced by nature, especially the woodlands that surrounds his home. His oil paintings and charcoal drawings capture the trees in many different forms and textures. His vibrant paintings have a welcomed energy to them. His use of colour and light gives the sense of ‘being there’ and viewers can loose themselves in his painted scenes. Simon is multi-disciplinary practice includes many medias including pastel, oil and charcoal.

Simon studied at Colchester then worked as a graphic designer and illustrator in London before turning to painting.
